Who I am

This website is run by Mark Ferguson, trading as RefurbFerg Home Improvements, based in the Portsmouth area. I am responsible for the personal information you send through this site. You can contact me about privacy at info@refurbferg.co.uk or on 07789 207092.

What I collect

If you use the quote form, I collect what you type in: your name, phone number, email address (optional), town or postcode, the type of job, when you would like to start (optional) and the details of the job. If you call, WhatsApp, message me on Facebook or email me, I will have the details you send that way.

Why I use it

I use your details only to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and, if you go ahead, arrange and carry out the work. I will not send you marketing.

Lawful basis

Under UK GDPR, I rely on your consent (you tick the box on the form) and on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you. If you become a customer, I may need to keep some records, such as invoices, to meet my legal and tax obligations.

How long I keep it

I keep your details no longer than I need them. If you don’t go ahead with a job, I delete your enquiry once it is no longer needed. Customer records are kept only as long as the law requires.

Who sees it

I do not sell or share your information. The form sends your enquiry to me by email, so it passes through my email provider and website hosting company, who store it securely on my behalf. WhatsApp and Facebook have their own privacy policies if you contact me that way.

Cookies

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not set any non-essential cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, object to how I use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email info@refurbferg.co.uk and I will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please tell me first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
